Sports Commission

Sports groups get an extra edge when they meet in Grand Rapids - the assistance of the West Michigan Sports Commission.

The mission of the West Michigan Sports Commission is to promote Michigan's West Coast as the premier venue for hosting a diverse level of youth and amateur sporting events, enhancing the economy and quality of life in the region.

We work closely with the Sports Commission to coordinate and schedule sporting events and meetings, a task made easier by the abundance of first-class facilities here.

Visit the West Michigan Sports Commission website for information on venues, events, and more. The Commission is the driving force behind the State Games of Michigan, an Olympic-style event featuring 3,500 in-state athletes competing in 15 events across West Michigan.
